The Russian government claimed Alexander Yablonstsev, pilot of the aircraft Sukhoi Super Jet (SSJ) 100 that crashed into Mount Salak Wednesday 9 May, is the best the chief pilot of Russia. The assertion was made Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Yuri Slyusar a news conference at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, Jakarta, Friday 11 May.
Yuri, who led the investigation team formed by the Prime Minister (PM) Russia Dmitry Menvedev, pleaded personally familiar with Alexander. "I am personally very familiar with, lots of hanging out as often met. He who brings Sukhoi from zero to a certificate," said Yuri.
"Personally he was a pilot who has the potential for a lot of attention and love," said Yuri who was accompanied by Russian Ambassador to Indonesia, Alexander Ivanov.
On the other hand, the Russian government also claims there's nothing wrong with the machine Sukohi Superjet 100. "I want to let you know that there is no any news related to technical fault plane," he said.
Yusi further asserted that fateful Sukhoi has been equipped advanced technology. Preparations before the demo flight was done well. The proof, said Yuri, on the first flight demonstration aircraft with a capacity of 98 passengers were not experiencing problems.
But he did not want to speculate. "Now we wait for the results of the investigation, we will investigate in the near future in order to obtain the right reasons," he said.
Meanwhile, Ivanov said his government are serious in investigating the cause of the accident along with the Indonesian side. "A delegation led by Deputy Secretary of Commerce to work. It meets the relevant agencies, Basarnas, NTSC has agreed a joint program to investigate the incident," he said on the same occasion.
On the same occasion, Minister of Transportation EE Mangindaan, said in order to investigate it in the near future Russia will send a plane carrying full equipment for investigations. "We want this partnership to be truly complete it over with," said Mangindaan.
